Day 42
Day 42:
I walked into the kitchen and my jaw dropped down,
My nose rose up and I made a frown.
Piles of dishes spread all along the stove,
Dishes on the counter, there were loads and loads!
I popped my dishes down on the floor,
There was nowhere else for them to go, after all.
Plates on the microwave, Knives on the sink,
I hoped they'd go away if I started to blink.
I took one scourer and started to scrub,
But it didn't leave a mark on the stubborn old grub.
Bubbles in the air and suds on my shirt,
I hadn't left a mark, the scourer wouldn't work.
The plates were mocking me, covered in foam,
but I was determined to have a clean home.
So I scrubbed and I scrubbed and I scrubbed and I scrubbed AND I SCRUBBED AND I SCRUBBED AND I SCRUBED AND I SCRUBBED AND I SCRUBBED AND SCRRUUBBB..
And I got a little bit of burnt crust off.
Do your dishes as soon as you've finished with them.
