Day 72
Day 72:
I am inside your cello.
Don't worry, I won't harm it, or you, at least, I don't mean to. They left me in here by mistake, when they were making your cello. I'm sure you've noticed. I make it heavier than it should be, and I wobble and rattle around quite a lot in here. I'm sorry about the sounds I make. I don't want to disturb your music, I think it's very pretty, much nicer than mine ever was. It's just the blowing noises that ruin it, like heavy breathing.
I've heard the people you call around to your home, to find out what's wrong with the cello. They try everything; tuning and changing strings, removing the legs, checking for holes. But none of them have ever even thought to look for me. I don't blame them, I'm not the type of problem that they have ever had before. It's, like I haunt you. You can't sell the cello, nobody would buy it with me inside. But, you can't buy another, this one is too precious. I'm sorry.
Maybe one day, I'll fall out through a hole. You would probably have to shake it, but I know you'd never shake it. It's deeply unnerving, it's such an expensive instrument. Don't worry, I'll make my way out one day.
(I wonder if you can guess what's inside the cello?)
