Day 74:
Day 74:
A little bird told me to sit and watch the sunset from on high.
To bask in the glory of the brilliant, but fleeting moment,
as our gaseous wonder drifts below the land's crest.
A little bird told me to keep climbing higher,
as to make the moment last longer.
I climbed further and further above the land,
and the sun came just a little further back into view with each step.
But if I slowed down, or ran out of ways to go up,
then the sun would begin to slip away,
again escaping our watchful eye.
A little bird told me that they are frightened;
when the sun flees over the hills.
How do we know that we will ever see it again?
They always say that the only thing that is for certain,
is that the sun will rise tomorrow morning.
The little bird is not so sure.
When the sun disappears, how can we know it will ever come back?
A big bird told me to look up at the stars,
hundreds of gaseous guardians of the night.
"Are you worried that the sun may never rise again?",
I asked the big bird.
"Why would I ever be worried?",
they replied.
"We have thousands and thousands of baby stars,
all watching over us when the sun is gone.
When the sun does not return, they will come together,
and shine brighter than the sun ever did".
