Day 92
Day 92:
One evening, me and my family decided to have a takeaway for dinner. It was no special occasion, but there was hardly any food in the house, and it was quite late. You know the sort of thing.
“What do you want?” asked my mother.
“Ahhhh, ermmm…” I ummed and ahhed over it for some time, as we always would. We could get a pizza, or a burger, or something else. Eventually, the decision was made for me.
"Let's just go to the Chinese takeaway, everywhere will be shut by the time he makes a decision". So then, I needed to decide what I would like from the Chinese takeaway.
"Ahhhh, ermmm..."
"How about fried rice? Would you like fried rice?" asked my mum. "Hmmmmm..." I replied. "What about vegetarian spring rolls? You like those." "Yeahhhhh..." I was really indecisive about food.
"Oh just get him the vegetable spring rolls," my mum said to my dad.
Being a vegetarian, there isn't much choice at some takeaways, but you can't go wrong with a good spring roll. When they arrived, they were quite a bit bigger than I expected. Instead of a container of little spring rolls, they gave me one huge spring roll! At least 8 inches long and 2 inches wide, it was the biggest, crispiest spring roll that I had ever seen. I bit into it, and part of the flaky coating broke away, splitting the mighty roll into two. I could see inside, it had all of the normal vegetarian staples: peppers, beansprouts, prawns, onions.
PRAWNS! THERE'S A PRAWN IN IT. THAT'S A PRAWN IT'S DEFINITELY A PRAWN. THAT'S NOT A VEGGIE SPRING ROLL AT ALL! This is why you have to be so careful when you are deciding what to get!
"Oh no," said my mum. "You'll need to get something else. What would you like?"
"Ahhhmmmmmm..."
