Day 93

Day 93:

Everyone has their own unique rituals and ways of thinking about the trials and challenges that they need to face. You know that the clock is ticking towards it all the time, whether you want to do it or not. An exam, a big meeting, a deadline, a big competitive match; everybody has something that they do that they treat in this same way.

You may spend this time with your team, the people relevant to your success in this trial, or you may take this time alone. A tense feeling bubbles up from the pit of your stomach, since you know that the moment that you have been preparing for is about to arrive, All that training, the revision, the study, the rehearsing. The hours you spent pondering all the how's, the why's, the what if's, and all the permutations. Even with all the practice, you can't know exactly what is going to happen. That's what makes it so nerve-racking, and so exciting. 

You take a lot at yourself, you breathe, you zone in and take a moment to steel yourself, to lock in that laser focus. And you say whatever you need to say. It could be short and sweet.

"Let's smash it." "I got this." "When this is over, I can get cake." Or, you can give yourself an epic, pacing, stirring monologue to push you into that arena, to power you to your destiny.

"I am a mighty warrior! Hear them, the chanting crowd, the muttering exam adjudicators, the restless audience, the sturdy, sharpened pencil lead. To defy the odds and the expectations is what I do. It is my destiny, to march into the arena of challenge, laugh in the face of the obstacles of my dreams, and hurl upon them the fruits of my endless toil! Of my sacrifices! Of my love and unburning passion for what I do, and what I will treasure for the rest of my days! I will not stop now, and I will not stop here. I will achieve what I came here to do. Crush the opponent, wow the crown, write and write on the paper until the ink bleeds! We are the unconquerable. I am the master of this day, of my life, OF MY DESTINY!"

OH I AM SO READY! I AM SO READY TO WIN, THE DUOLINGO DIAMOND LEAGUE!!! COME ONNNN!!!
