Day 95:
Day 95:
The past contains all of your knowledge. The future contains all of your dreams. It is only in the present where they can come together, and help you to be the best version of yourself.
So this is, commonly, how a guided mediation will start. The teacher will offer a quote, that they like or that they came up with, to talk about and for you to, consider moving forward in life. When we are present, we aren't thinking about the past, regretting things that we've done and pulling faces. Yet, the knowledge gained throughout that past is still with us in the present, in our minds. Likewise, when we are present, we aren't thinking about the future. We aren't wishing that we had a bigger house, or more money, or planning what we are going to do with it when we have it. Yet, the motivation that comes from wanting those things, and wanting the future to be better, is with us and driving us in the present. By using the knowledge from the past, and the motivation from the future, we can find the most mature, informed and energetic version of ourselves, without succumbing to the pitfalls on either side.
And now it's time for me to ask you to take some deep breaths, and, if you'd feel comfortable, to close your eyes.
I can't see my keyboatf. But, that;s ok, U;ve been touch=typomg. sp O dpn#t need tp see t.
Ok, I need to open my eyes, but you can close your eyes, if you'd like. And just allow yourself to feel the connection that you have to wherever you are sitting, or lying down. Feel the body soften, and start to notice anything that's going on around you. And now you can just, breathe slowly, in through the nose, and out through the mouth.
...
...
Sorry, I fell asleep for a moment there. Er, you can, open your eyes again. If you are awake.
Hello?
(Tip from me, don't meditate in bed 5 minutes after waking up :)
