Day 101
Day 101:
You sail along the calm and gentle seas of the easy day.
Nothing stressful is happening, you can relax and enjoy the gentle bobbing up and down of the boat.
Sails are at half-mast, so you can take a little longer to enjoy the journey that you are going on.
Your sandwiches are out on a little table on the deck, and you lean backwards in your comfortable chair.
Then, a rumble, or a crash.
And everything is ripped upside down.
A violent wind blows the table over and throws you to the deck floor.
Huge, monstorous waves reach higher and higher, up above the mast,
smashing down onto the deck, throwing you against the side.
You crawl to the mast, trying to raise the full sails to escape the torrent.
The wind is biting and savage, blowing all of the ropes and the boat around.
WIth huge effort against the terrible conditions, you hoist the sails,
being carried away with such tremendous force that all you can do is hold on.
To wait it out.
But you can't lie on the floor, the water is piling in.
Buckets, pails, bail it out.
One scoop at a time.
With each huge bucket you haul over the side, another wave lands back in it's place.
You just need to keep pushing, and keep pushing,
until the storm subsides.
