Day 115
Day 115:
!"£$%^&*()
Those are ok. Those are the standard special characters. But can we find any that are even more special? Ones that are not marked on the keyboard? Let's find out. I've done no research, I'm just going to use my keyboard knowledge to try and extract some special characters.
Let's start with shift, since that's where the top row of characters come from.
@~{PONJ_+¬?
All stuff that's still marked on the keyboard, nothing interesting.
What about alt?
Ok that's doing weird things to my browser, but it isn't typing anything.
Control?
Ok you disappeared for a moment there. Should probably save this before carrying on...
Tab?
That's just taking me down a page.
\\\\\\\\ OH THAT'S ALT GR
\\€€ááé OH MY GOSH ACCENTS! áéíóú
FN?
aiefj4549;['#-=-=1`. Doesn't seem to do anything by itself.
Let's start combining keys. This may go horribly wrong.
(saving into a document...)
úúúáéíó Control and alt seems to be the same as ALT GR
Control and shift does browser stuff. Shift and tab goes up instead of down.
DJWW£(£JDDHLAÉÍÉ
I'm starting to run out of combinations. I hoped to find really interesting stuff, like when you have characters that are pixelated, the ones used in the titles of some Youtube videos.
FN probably stands for 'function', it must do something...

© WOW OK.
So a bit of googling has revealed that there is a code system involving the num lock pad and holding down alt. The code for that is 0169
© HEHEHEHE ok let's try random codes and see what comes out.
"±.♂6%\N™ HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE I love it.
--©§6åÊ (that's 1234) ¶üÄÐÉÈÄ)8äÊ○¤ñ”fžD YAY!
To make these characters, hold down alt with num lock on, then type 4 digit codes into the keypad and release the alt key. Enjoy!
